Welcome to our gallery of the 2005 Land Rover National Rally in Leadville, Colorado!
We were so excited to participate in this year's rally. We prepped four rovers for the trek to Colorado. This included our Big Rover™vehicles ('94 & '95 Range Rover LWB Classics), a D-90, and a Discovery II series. All vehicles were driven from Tulsa, OK to Leadville, CO and back.
On the Disco II, we performed basic maintenance and installed 4.11 gears in the front and rear differentials.
On the D-90, we attacked major maintenance issues (heads gaskets were leaking), fixed transfer case issues (would not shift into low gear), as well as did some overall prep work. We installed customer-supplied differential guards, customer-supplied rear trailing arms, and Big Rover™ manufactured Rock Sliders.
On our '94 Range Rover, we installed a 3" lift kit, Big Rover™ manufactured Rock Sliders, Big Rover™ brake lines, Fox™ shocks, 4.11 gears in the front and rear differentials, and a rear Detroit Locker.
On our '95 Range Rover (see our video!), we started by removing all Land Rover axles, suspension, and brakes. We then installed custom-made Dana 60 axles (High-strength inner shafts) with 4.88 gears and a Detroit Locker on the front. On the rear, we installed custom-made GM Corporate 14 and Moesher axles with 4.88 gears and a Detroit Locker. All axle housings were made with custom widths and were shaved 1 1/2". To top that off, we added hydraulic ram-assisted power steering and Big Rover™ custom-made drive shafts. Add on some Pittbull™ Rockers (37/13.50/17) with Marsh Racing™ Beadlock wheels, and we were set! |
